We just moved to Cedar Rapids from Saint Louis. Our guide to the area was Bill McClelland, in the St. Louis Post Dispatch.

    Are you published???

How would you suggest is the best and quickest way to learn about our new home. I am in hospice care at Keystone Place in N.E. Cedar Rapids.

Thanks for your guidance and help

    Hi Dave,
I have enjoyed your colums for many years, in fact, I always read them 1st when our gazette arrives. Your piece today was truly heartwarming. No one can know how much love and companionship a pet gives until they have such a relationship. We lost our beloved cat when he was run over on the highway last fall, we were both devastated and told each other, no more, we can’t loose another pet. After a week of more crying than I can tell you about, we answered an ad in the gazette, went to a nearby farm, and came home with 2 sweet sister kittens. They took over our home and our hearts. Keep up the great columns. You are truly one of the best human interest writers I have ever read. You remind me of a show that used to be on t.v. “everybody has a story” about a reporter who went to different towns, picked a name from the phonebook, went to them and talked until he found a story about them. It is true, everyone of us truly has at least one remarkable story.
    Sincerely, Deborah Herdlicka
